Worms Moulding
a Path to Success
There
is nothing worse than tripping over
a loose stone or pavement on a walkway
or patio. Not only is it an eyesore,
but it can also cause a person to
trip and get injured. Many people
take great pride in maintaining
a patio or walkway, but they do
not have the expertise to complete
the restoration. If you are one
of these people, and want to restore
or upgrade your patio, then look
no further than a new business in
the Eganville area.
Phillippe Dionne
has started up his own company as
part of the Summer Company Program
with Enterprise Renfrew County.
This countywide initiative provides
$1500 to local students to start
up a new business. For Phillippe,
this is a dream come true. Phillippe
recently moved to Eganville with
his family from Ottawa, and he will
be attending Opeongo High School
in September. His new company provides
him with both the opportunity to
be an independent businessman, and
it allows him to meet many individuals
in his new community. Phillippe
provides custom professional work
for a very reasonable cost.
When he relocated
from Ottawa, Phillippe knew it might
be tough to start a new business
in this new community. As Phillippe
pointed out “although I just moved
here, I am sure I will get an opportunity
to meet many people in a short time.
If you provide people with an affordable
and professional service, the word
will quickly get out. Word of mouth
advertising is the best and cheapest
way to get new clients. I am lucky
to have the chance to be my own
boss.” Phillippe specializes in
both the building and restoration
of patios and walkways, and his
experience and professionalism speaks
for itself. Phillippe is more than
willing to refer potential clients
to his past projects and he provides
references to those who are serious
about hiring his services.
Phillippe is one
of only seven students in Renfrew
County to successfully qualify for
the Enterprise Renfrew Business
Program. The competition is a program
of the Ontario Ministry of Economic
Development and Trade. It is organized
by Enterprise Renfrew County, a
non-profit governmental business
development agency funded by the
Ontario Government, the County of
Renfrew and the Town of Renfrew.
The Pembroke Campus of Algonquin
College is the major sponsor of
the 2004 Business Plan Competition.
Phillippe can be reached at 628-3444.
