Selling a Taste of Aboriginal

Amanda’s Place-Traditional Foods was a retail business involving the selling of aboriginal foods such as, scones, scone dogs, butterfly wings, Indian Steak on a Scone, fresh berry and strawberry juice as well as ice cream and slushie products in Golden Lake ON on the First Nations Reserve, Algonquins of Pikwakanagan.

“I was always interested in owning my own business” said Amanda. “I have worked in the sales business on a part time basis and it was great to be the owner of one. I especially loved meeting the people who came to the store and enjoyed their comments of the food because I did it all by myself.”
